29 December 2014

- Joy Transfer 2014 -

A year with our Dogs
and many Moments on which we like to look back

Holiday in January in France
What an indescriable happy feeling we had, to drive home again with
Connor (Guinever's Joy Iorwerth) and Inis (Guinever's Joy Inis-Hir)

Mademoiselle Inis
At the beginning of 2014 still a sweet Puppy,
in the meantime a fully integrated and
loveable member of our Family Group.

Ella celebrated in April 2014 her 10th Birthday.
with it our sovereign Lady Pack Leader is still agile and pretty as a young female,
which does not quite fit to her new additional Veteran-Champion-Title.

Percy is now 13 years old.
In the meantime he shows his age,
but still has much happiness in Life and enjoys his position
as a loveable respected old Gentleman in the Family Group.

Imogen
Our Prima Donna Ima
remained modest and did not make headlines in 2014,
but she is and will always remain our dearest sweetheart.

Myfanwy
Our sweet young Fanwy is slowly growing up to adulthood
and successfully gathered together her canditure for her Champion's Title.
Her Breeding prognoses are also perfect with the health results.
So Fanwy will therefore soon take care that
in 2015 we will be able to report about our next Litter.

December 2014

Merry Christmas
and a
Happy New Year
with all good Wishes for 2015

We heartily wish that it brings you
Health, Luck and Contendness

9. Dezember 2014

 Happy Birthday, M-Litter

We heartily congratulate our Puppies from our M-Litter with their 2nd Birthday
and send all our M's best Wishes.
Our thoughts on this day are often by Glenys. We miss her still very much
and are grateful, that all the Puppies out of this Litter have grown up to healthy and good dogs.

National Show in Kassel

Guinever's Joy Iorwerth       - Connor -

Excellent 2 and Youth CAC-Res. In the Youth Class at the National Show in Kassel.

Connor has easily mastered his first big Hall Show and Andrea showed him extremely well. We are together very happy over his Excellent 2 in the Youth Class.

Connor

Joy Transfer Myfanwy

Excellent 1 and CAC in the Intermediate Class at the National Show in Kassel.

Myfanwy has now won her fifth Show in a row in the Intermediate Class with Excellent 1 and CAC. With these she now can contend for both German Champion Titles (VDH and Class) together, only the necessary 12 months in between the first and the fifth CAC are not fulfilled until June.

So Myfanwy can now calmly take a rest from Shows and concentrate on a new role.

We are already looking forward, with Myfanwy to the beginning of 2015 when we hope to breed with her our next Litter.

DM :    N/N - normal/free -   (Degenerative Myelopathie)

Meryl

Joy Transfer Meryl

Now we have the official H-D evaluation for Meryl: of HD A/B.

We are very happy, that also Meryl as the third member of the M-Litter had such good results with HD X-ray. In France the left hip and the right hip are being separately judged, therefore A/B (FCI). Géraldine can now without worry do all Meryl's beloved Activities – Herding, Truffle seeking, Shows etc, everywhere successful. We are eager to learn how Meryl will do her next task of becoming a mother with her first Litter next year.

On the 12th October at the Spéciale in Orléans in France, Meryl was again very successful : She won the CAC and with that her last contention which was still necessary for her to have the Title French Champion. With this Meryl at only 22 months the first Champion of our M-Litter. We congratulate Géraldine, Laurent and Meryl most heartily.

Meryl
has passed her Exam as a Truffle Seeking-Dog !

Not easy but successful, she was awarded Excellent and won a 3rd Place with the Truffle-Search Dog Exam on the 28th September in France. It is wonderful just how versatile, happy and successful Meryl is everywhere.

Now she is the right age, so that she can also work in full action with the Sheep. We will surely soon hear more about her. As well as her results with Showing, which we have already reported, certainly more reporting will come.

Congratulations, dear Géraldine and little Meryl.

22 September 2014

Further welcome News from a few Shows

From the last Show Weekend in September we have further Happy News:

Guinever's Joy Iorwerth       - Connor -

Connor was now also at his first Show and together with Andrea we are happy with the trouble free Start. At the CAC Show in Dormagen on the 21st September Connor was judged in the Youth Class with Very Good 1. At the age of 10 months he admittedly does not have the substance of a grown up male Cardigan, but time in this case is on our side and he will soon develop.

(Photo: Connor at the Age of 10 month)

Connor - VG1, Youthclass in Dormagen

Joy Transfer Myrddin

Myrrdin and Anke were very successful at the CAC-Show in Brandenburg on the 21st September. Myrrdin was judged in the Intermediate Class with Excellent 1 and CAC and won BOB (Best of Breed).

Hearty congratulations, dear Anke !

Myrddin - BOB in Brandenburg

Joy Transfer Meryl

Meryl was very successful at the CACIB Shows in France.
In Compičgne on the 14th September:
Exc.1
and CAC and CACIB and BOS,
and in Pontoise on the 21st September:
Exc.1 and CAC and CACIB and BOB.

We are very happy with the results of Meryl.

Géraldine and Meryl are a wonderful team. Meryl is learning so much in France. In the meantime she is getting ready for her exam as a Truffle-searching dog. She has to find in less than 8 minutes in a small area in which 6 Truffles are buried and point them lightly with her paw, without digging. Here you can see a small Video from the training with Meryl:

Ch. Joy Transfer Kassandra Kiss
- Paula -

Paula was successful at the Corgi-Show from the Dutch Welsh Corgi Club (NWCC) on the 13th September in Holland. Sophie reached with Paula in the Champions Class Excellent 2. We are together with Family Bösche happy about this very nice success.

Percy is now 13 years old

We find it wonderful that we can congratulate our dear Percy on his 13th Birthday and we would like to show him here on actual Photos as an old but still beautiful male dog. This year's Club Winner Show of the CfBrH was very well organised and with the cool and dry weather it was for people and Dogs a very pleasant day at the nice Dogfield in Peine. The day before (Saturday) was a Special-Pembroke-Show, therefore it was a special Event to admire so many Corgis at the Club Winner Show. 16 Cardigan Corgis and 12 Pembroke Corgis were registered and quite a number of Guest-Corgis made a nice picture. For us it was a special pleasure, to meet so many of our Joy Transfer Generation with their owners. Some were not only as spectators, but also very active in the Ring, here are their results:

Herding Meeting

We had a wonderful invitation from Martina and her Bouviers des Ardennes at her idyllic estate with a wonderful old Farmhouse near Bad Salzuflen. The „German-French friendship“ is well looked after from a few Breeders who find it important, to keep the original ability of their Herding Dogs. Meryl took very good care for „the honour of the Corgis“. We were very happy to be there with Myfanwy and Inis, as our two young ones had until now seen sheep only from a distance

Meryl

Meryl had learnt a lot in her first year at Laurent and Géraldine in France. It was impressive, how quickly and nimbly she was working with the sheep and how much she was enjoying this.

The Bouviers des Ardennes have excellently shown what a good well trained herding dog can do with sheep.

Both female Bouviers des Ardennes are waiting impatiently, to work with the sheep.

Also Myfanwy, Inis and Meryl are looking eagerly to the dogs which are herding.

Myfanwy

As for Myfanwy it would have been enough to be a spectator. But this opportunity  must be used, to be completely alone with unknown sheep (or are these perhaps Aliens?) whereas Myfanwy like it better to be close to us. Eventually although their exercises  in the Dog School  are desired, they must for the first time change over.

For all of us it was a wonderful afternoon with many new impressions

at the Show in Buchholz

The District Group Hamburg of the Club for British Herding Dogs (VDH) had their CAC-Show in Buchholz on the 22/23 of February 2014. This year the judging of the 7 British-Breeds was divided over two days. Through it the exhibitors  had the pleasure of enough space for themselves and their dogs in the beautiful Schützenhalle. This and to see again pleasant dog friends made it an enjoyable day. The Corgis were judged by Rachel Dijkhorst-Noij, we were very happy with the results.

With the Junior handling Sophie Bösche with Paula (Joy Transfer Kassandra Kiss) was as usual successful. We heartily congratulate her with her 1st Place.

Myfanwy was judged in the Bitches-Youth Class with Exc.1 and received Youth-CAC.

Myrddin was judged in the Dog-Youth Class with Exc.1 and had Youth CAC, Best Young Dog and Best of Breed (BOB).

Especially for Myrddin this is a fantastic success, he is now German Youth Champion. In Buchholz he is now for the 3rd time shown in the Youth Class and was at all 3 shows judged V1 with Youth CAC and Best Young Dog of the Breed, twice in combination  with Best of Breed (BOB)  and once as Best Young Dog of all the British Breeds. We heartily congratulate his owner Anke Jahns. Carry on like this !

January 2014

We have brought something beautiful out of France

Guinever's Joy Iorwerth  and  Guinever's Joy Inis-Hir

Iorwerth

Inis

is a pretty and self-assured brindle-point-tricolour male. He is now called Connor and lives in Castrop-Rauxel with Andrea Heinemann and Family, (Cardigans from the Wonderful Oz). As charming Cock of the Walk he is having much happiness and feels very much at home. He is as well, irresistable.

is a sweet and intelligent brindle-point-tricolour female. She is now living with us. Percy, Ella, Ima and Myfanwy, are very happy with their new member of the Family. It would not be difficult, to fall for Inis. Especially Ella looks after her great-granddaughter very well. We are very happy to have our Mademoiselle Inis.

Both Puppies were born on 11.11.2013, they are from the Litter of Ch. Guinever's Joy Furlan City and the male Ch. Pekan Valley Touch of Darkness. More information about Guinever's I Litter with one click on the button

Now something about our travel. And how the holiday was?

We were treated like royalty

that was how it felt. We and our dogs were given such a hearty and hospitable reception. These days will remain unforgettable.

Also our Meryl with her companion Angie and her owners Géraldine and Laurant were visiting. Amazed we looked at Meryl concentrating on her Truffle-search, a very impressive demonstration.

In and around the beautiful house of Evelyne and Claude, with their enormous garden, all the dogs could run with each other without problems, so that we could all enjoy the mutual time together.

Another special event was the Outing on Sunday (12 of January) to the

  Paris Dog Show

  Myfanwy  -  Imogen  -  Guiny  -  Falster  -  Meryl
The Joy-Transfer-Gang at the Paris Dog Show

Actually a CACIB-Show, as everywhere not enough Parking space, small Halls, ... But Géraldine and Laurent had taken care to bring delicious food, so that we could enjoy the good French way of life. In which of course also the results of our dogs contributed to our good mood:
